About the Journal
JESIL: Jurnal Ekonomi Syariah dan Industri Halal (The Journal of Islamic Economics and Halal Industry) provides a dynamic forum for the advancement of knowledge in Islamic economics and the halal industry. It focuses on Shari’ah-compliant economic activities and halal industry practices that impact enterprises and contribute to societal welfare. JESIL publishes articles on the interplay between Islamic economic principles, halal industry standards, organizational management justice (adl), and sustainable business practices (al-falah).
JESIL seeks to inform current theoretical and empirical research and practice in the fields of Islamic economics, corporate governance in Islamic financial institutions, management of halal industry organizations, and policy development for Shari’ah-compliant institutions. The journal welcomes contributions on financial and non-financial performance measurement, halal certification processes, supply chain management in halal industries, and innovative practices in the halal market.
