Author Guidelines

Journal of Islamic Economics and Halal Industry invites authors to submit their research articles in the field of social sciences, focusing on Islamic economics and halal industry. The following guidelines must be adhered to when preparing manuscripts for submission.

Title

  • The title should be concise, clear, and reflective of the research results.
  • Format: Arial, 12 pt, Single Space, Bold, Italic, Align Text Left.

Abstract

  • The abstract should be between 200-300 words and consist of a single paragraph.
  • It should include a brief background, research objectives, methods, main results, major conclusions, and implications.
  • Keywords must be included and should not repeat the title or contain unexplained tables, illustrations, references, abbreviations, or acronyms.
  1. Introduction
  • General Background: Provide a brief background of the research.
  • State of the Art: Summarize relevant previous research to justify the novelty of your study.
  • Gap Analysis: Clearly state the research gap and how your research addresses it.
  • Hypotheses (if any): Hypotheses should be included if applicable but are not mandatory.
  • Format: Arial, 11 pt, Single Space, Left-Right Indent of 6 taps. Use a reference manager like Mendeley with AMA style for citations.
  1. Materials and Methods
  • Content: Include research design, population and sample, materials and tools, research stages, and data analysis.
  • Details: Provide specific details to allow replication of the study.
  • Format: Use sub-chapters for clarity.
  1. Results and Discussion
  • Results: Present processed data, not raw data, in tables or figures.
  • Discussion: Analyze and interpret the results, linking them to the research objectives and previous studies.
  • Format: Ensure each table and figure is referenced in the text. Avoid using words like "above" or "below" when referring to tables or figures.
  1. Conclusion
  • Content: Summarize the main findings and their implications in a concise paragraph.
  • Suggestions: Include suggestions based on the research implications in the same paragraph as the conclusion.

Acknowledgment

  • Acknowledge institutions or individuals who contributed significantly to the research.

References

  • Primary Sources: At least 80% of references should be from primary sources such as scientific journals.
  • Recency: References should be within the last 5 years.
  • Quantity: Each manuscript should contain at least 30 primary references.
  • Format: Use a reference manager to format citations and references.

Submission Process

  • Online Submission: Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system.
  • Plagiarism Check: All manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism, and authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their work.

  • Creative Commons License: All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA).
